We are open from 7am - 7pm Monday - Sunday. Dropping off and picking up outside of regular business hours is available by prior arrangement at an additional fee.
Khaki Hound and Camo Kitty is an award winning boarding facility with an exceptional staff delivering high-quality care and comfort. We give you peace-of-mind while you are away and you are helping us raise funds for a great cause.
Our facility is built with your pet's safety and comfort as the priority. Not to mention we offer our services at reasonable prices, provide discounts, give medications free-of-charge, offer grooming services, and so much more.
Dogs:
Rabies (3 yr. or 1 yr.), DHPP (3yr. or 1 yr.), Lepto (1yr.), and Bordetella (1yr)
Cats:
Rabies, FVRCP (both 1 year vaccines)
At Khaki Hound and Camo Kitty we take great pride in our dedicated staff. Our care team is a family team with years of experience.
Cathy has over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field, working in kennels and as a Veterinary Assistant. She has been on the management team in large veterinary practices that provided boarding services. She has 20 years of experience working with the USDA to credential animals for international transport. Her specialty is caring for geriatric and medically compromised pets, including their at home needs.
Samantha is Cathy's daughter and was raised with an assortment of furry family members (even some with scales or feathers) and learned at a very young age how to provide the daily care required to keep them healthy and happy. She also has experience as a kennel attendant for a busy veterinary practice. She cared for boarding and hospitalized pets, cleaning kennels and assisting the veterinarian.
Susan is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, Flight Nurse. She is a disabled veteran with three Masters Degrees and professional specialties in Nursing Education and Trauma Care. Susan currently supports the Munson Army Medical Clinic as a trainer and manages the care-giver resiliency program for Munson staff.

Please call 24-hours in advance if you need to change you boarding reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, cash, or check (please note, there is a $25 returned check fee). Payment is due upon pick-up of your pet.
Each additional pet receives 30% off for boarding
10% off of boarding for visits over 14 consecutive nights
10% off of total bill for Veterans and Activity Duty Members
10% off of total bill for Seniors.

Yes, our qualified staff can safetly administer any medication your pet needs during their stay. And, we are extremely proud to offer this service free-of-charge.

Khaki Hound and Camo Kitty V.I.P. Quarters are on the south side of Kansas State Highway 5. It is located 50 yards east of the Leavenworth VA hospital south entrance. The street address is 4501 Commercial Place, Leavenworth, Kansas, 66048.
Prices
Prices include 15 minutes of individual play time for dogs and 1 hour of Atrium time for cats.

pet-focused quality-minded boarding
The mission of the Khaki Hound & Camo Kitty is to provide your pet with the highest quality of care in the most comfortable and caring environment while you are away.
We offer state of the art safety and security with 18 large airy indoor/outdoor suites with comfortable off the floor beds covered with fleece pads. For our more indoor minded canine guests we offer large, medium and small kennels all with plenty of room to stretch out. And when it is time to go outside we offer time in one of our 50 square foot runs or a refreshing walk.
The Khaki Hound also features a 1500 square foot play area with space enough for the most energetic canine guests to get exercise and sunshine in an enclosed dog friendly environment.
For our feline visitors we offer double sized kitty condo from Shor-line. Enough space for comfortable sleeping and a private litter box for those necessary potty breaks. A greenhouse attached to the cattery is available for some quality bird watching and lounging in the sun.
